The Day I Chose Discipline Over Comfort
How training for one race changed the way I run my businesses.
There was a season when I trained for a race I was honestly not ready for.
The alarm at 5 AM never got easier. What changed was my relationship with it. I stopped negotiating with comfort and started keeping promises to myself. Some mornings I ran on sore legs, some on doubt, but I ran.
I did not win that race. I finished it, and finishing rebuilt how I define winning. The same discipline now runs my businesses: show up, do the work, keep the promise. Comfort is a nice place to visit, but it is a terrible place to live.
